Sequel
In early 2014, Daedalic Entertainment announced a sequel, titled Silence: The Whispered World 2. Initially slated to be released in late 2014, it is now being given a release time frame of early 2015. Taking place some time after the first game, it stars Noah, the young boy who was awoken from a coma at the end of the original game. Now a teenager, he must return to his dream world to search for his younger sister, who was separated from him during a bombing raid on their hometown. Silence was released on 15 November 2016.

Silence – The Whispered World 2 (en Français : Les Chroniques de Sadwick : The Whispered World 2) est la suite du jeu "The Whispered World" (sorti en 2014, pas de version Linux), un pointer-et-cliquer au thème fantastique et sombre sur les aventures et l'amour fraternel entre Noah, 16 ans (qui se réveil d'un coma à la fin du 1er épisode, et est à présent devenu un adolescent) et sa sœur Renie, qui se réfugient dans un bunker à la suite d'un bombardement où ils se retrouvent séparés. Après des tentatives désespérées pour retrouver sa sœur, Noah se retrouve dans Silence - un monde idyllique et fantastique mais dangereux, où il part à sa recherche. Parvenus à se retrouver, ils apprennent à apprécier ce monde et ses étranges habitants, qui eux aussi sont menacés par la guerre et la destruction. Ils tentent alors de les aider ...
La guerre fait rage. Lors d'un raid aérien, Noah, 16 ans, et sa petite sœur Renie se réfugient dans un bunker. Là, non seulement ils sont protégés du bombardement mortel, mais sont aussi à la croisée d'un monde entre la vie et la mort : Silence. Quand la sœur de Noah se perd dans Silence, il est obligé de s'aventurer dans ce monde idyllique et néanmoins menaçant pour la retrouver.
Silence, cependant, porte ses propres cicatrices de la guerre et de la souffrance. Des créatures sombres hantent citées et villes et ravagent cette place jadis sereine entre les mondes. Seule une petite bande de rebelles fait front à la menace imminente. À présent, c'est à la fratrie de sauver Silence et ses habitants fantastiques d'une ruine imminente et donc aussi de sauver leur propre vie.
