A dungeon crawl game.
A roguelike game written for the Ludum Dare 48h contest. It's a fairly classical roguelike, but with animated graphics, something that I was trying to make (and failing) for some time.
You are a young temple maiden, who has been kidnapped by monsters from her village. In the monster's cave, you overheard the monsters planning to ambush and kill all the villagers. You have to do something! You check all your belongings, but you only find a single random spell on you. YOU GET ONLY ONE. No matter, you have to save the village and yourself! Note that if you die, you are dead -- no way to go back to an earlier checkpoint or savegame. You have to start the game from the beginning. Then again, remember that you are expected to die a lot until you learn to play the game, so don't get discouraged too fast.
How to play
Walk around using the arrow keys. The monsters only move when you do. Press space to wait a turn. Hold down the ctrl key to rotate in place without spending a turn. Press enter to access your inventory. Bump into monsters to attack them. Throw things into monsters by facing them when selecting the "throw" command. Equip weapons and amulets to increase your attack and defense. Apply the spells on yourself or throw them at the monsters. Find the ladder to the next level, and continue until you find and kill the boss. Remember to eat properly on the way – if you keep on dying of hunger, remember that you don't have to explore every level fully.
Moving around
You can move around using arrows. Please note, that you don't have to hurry -- the game is Turn-Based, and the monsters will only move when you do, so you can go as slow (or as fast) as you want. In order to change your facing without actually walking, hold down the Ctrl key when pressing the arrows. To wait in place without moving, press the Space.
Combat
To attack a monster, simply walk into it. Note, that the monsters can and will hit you back, so it may be wise not to attack blindly everything that moves. You can also throw objects at the monsters, with a variety of effects.
Items
You will find many different items that can help you along the way. You will need to eat food regularly, or you will die of starvation. The food will also heal you a little bit. You can use weapons for improving your offensive capabilities, and amulets to improve your defense. Last, but not least, you can use those small slips of paper with magic symbols on them. You can either apply them to yourself, or throw them at the monsters. Most of them will start unidentified -- you have to try them to see what they do. Once you have tried a particular spell, you will see its name normally.

Fujo est un roguelike graphique de type dungeon crawl, conçu à l'occasion du concours Ludum Dare (conception de jeux en 48h).
C'est un roguelike assez classique, mais avec des graphismes animés, quelque chose que je voulais faire (et n'arrivait pas) pendant un certain temps.
Vous incarnez une jeune prêtresse d'un temple, enlevée par des monstres dans son village.
Dans la grotte du monstre, vous avez entendu les monstres complotant pour tendre une embuscade et tuer tous les villageois. Vous devez faire quelque chose !
Vous vérifiez tous vos biens mais ne trouvez qu'un seul sort aléatoire sur vous. VOUS N'EN AVEZ QU'UN SEUL.
Peu importe, vous devez sauver le village et vous-même !
Notez que si vous mourez, vous êtes morte - aucun moyen de revenir à un point de contrôle / point de sauvegarde. Vous devrez commencer le jeu depuis le début. Et puis, n'oubliez pas que vous êtes censée mourir de nombreuses fois jusqu'à ce que vous appreniez à jouer à ce jeu, alors ne vous découragez pas trop vite.

Une petite bande son adaptée, un graphisme adorable et un bon gameplay.
Un excellent petit jeu de type JRPG / Casual Roguelike.
