A psychological horror adventure inspired by H. P. Lovecraft and set in a massive, decaying mental institute.
Asylum is a point-and-click adventure game. It’s quite scary too. No, we’re not making this up: some people were terrified just by reading the script alone, and we’re striving to top it with the most immersive, oppressive, depressive, (and many other words ending with 'ive') atmosphere ever seen in an adventure. Don’t be fooled by our excitement or apparent silliness; we’re very serious about making Asylum a disturbing and horrifying game that you won’t easily forget.
You’ll have to take our word for it: the plot is very twisty and satisfying. The deeper you go and the more attention you pay to your surroundings, the more Hanwell Mental Institute will reveal about its true nature. Every room is bursting with detail, mood, and backstory. There is a lot to investigate and discover and, quite literally, an entire asylum available to explore. Close to 100 rooms, in fact. You might think we’re a bunch of slightly deranged people to have created a game of this scope on our own and with close to no budget… and you may actually be right.

Le délabrement vous entoure, l'angoisse s'insinue à chaque recoin. Vous vous sentez claustrophobe en traversant ces couloirs interminables ...
Asylum est un voyage à travers les étages complexes du "Hanwell Mental Institute", un asile dans lequel des atrocités inimaginables ont eu lieu jadis. Cette aventure dans l'horreur vise à marier des visuels très soignés avec une histoire d'épouvante passionnante à glacer d'effroi.

Le studio est parvenu à lever les fonds nécessaire sur le site Kickstarter, son développement est en cours.
Kickstarter est un site de sponsoring de projets permettant - en ce qui concerne les jeux, aux joueurs et aux développeurs de financer le développement de jeux sans le carcan des maisons d'édition. Les studios obtiennent le pré-financement de leur production, les joueurs bénéficient d'avantages proportionnels au montant de leur participation (tarif avantageux, personnalisations, ...) sans garantie de résultat.
Date de sortie :
Financement bouclé fin Février 2013 (119,4K$ sur Kickstarter).
Sur Kickstarter nous pouvons lire "Estimated Delivery: Dec 2013".
Avant la campagne de financement sur Kickstarter, le jeu était initialement annoncé pour 2011. Il progressait (voir la FAQ) mais a un rythme limité du fait de la taille du studio et de l'ampleur du projet. Nous tablions pour une version Linux en Juin 2013. Nous rectifions :).
Le portage Linux était initialement annoncé en catimini, à présent il est clairement annoncé sur Kickstarter.
Sur Steam Greenlight nous pouvons lire : Date de sortie : Early 2014, puis (en Octobre 2014): TBA 2014
