Un outil de modélisation 3D, par Kevin Worcester.

Misfit Model 3D est un outil OpenGL de modélisation 3D utilisant des modèles basés sur des triangles.
Il supporte de multiples niveaux d'undo, des animations par skelette, une application de textures simple, un système de traitement par batch en ligne de commande, et un système de plugin permettant d'ajouter de nouveaux modèles et des filtres d'images. Il comprend une aide en ligne et met l'accent sur la facilité d'utilisation.

Il a été écrit et testé sur Linux, et a été compilé et testé sur ses principales distributions. Il fonctionne aussi sur FreeBSD, Windows XP/2000, et Mac OS X (expérimental).

Misfit Model 3D is an OpenGL-based 3D model editor that works with triangle-based models. It supports multi-level undo, skeletal animations, simple texturing, command-line batch processing, and a plugin system for adding new model and image filters. Complete online help is included. The primary design goal is to be easy to use.

En février 2011 son auteur a annoncé qu'il ne travaillait plus activement à son développement. Le projet Maverick Model 3D a ainsi vu le jour pour les besoins d'un autre projet (Extraordinary Beat X, dans le Bottin).
